How To Transfer A DNS

To transfer a DNS, you will need to obtain the Domain Management Information from the hosting company the domain was hosted on and give this information to the new hosting company where you wish to host that domain.

If you are transferring a domain from another hosting company to Active Web Hosting, all you need to do is follow the instructions in our FAQ on Transferring A Domain to Active Web Hosting. We will send you the DNS transfer information once your order is processed. Note that you will need to know how to notify the former hosting company and follow their procedures on transferring the domain.

If you are transferring a domain from Active Web Hosting to another hosting company, you will first need to follow the instructions in Transferring A Domain to Another Hosting Company. After you have completed this process, you will need to obtain the Domain Management Information from us. E-Mail us at support@activewebhosting.com and ask for your Domain Management Information (DNS). Be sure to let us know you are transferring your domain. We will send you an E-Mail with this information. Be sure that the E-Mail address associated with your account is not on the same domain as the one you are transferring.

Your account must be paid up with no outstanding balances on your Active Web Hosting account or you will not be able to obtain this necessary information.
