Working With Mambo
Displaying Sites Within Mambo (Wrapper)
Mambo will allow you to display other web pages within your site. This is what
is referred to as a Wrapper. It basically is like a frame where another
site loads into the main area of your site. Please use caution when implementing
this feature. Be sure that you either own the site you are displaying in the
wrapper or have permission to do so.
To create a wrapper, go to
Menu -> mainmenu or the menu where you want to
add a link to your wrapper. Click on the New icon at the top of the page.
In the Miscellaneous section on the bottom left, click on the circle next
to Wrapper.
Click the Next icon on the top of the page.
Type in a name for your wrapper. This is what will show up in your menu.
For Wrapper Link, type in the full URL of the page you wish to display on
your site.
Parent Item is the menu item this will appear under. To have it appear
as a separate entry in your menu, leave this set at top.
Choose your access level and whether or not to have it available on the site
(Published) or not.
The parameters to the left are usually best at their default settings. You can
change these settings to better integrate with your site. Hover your mouse over
the blue circle with an 'i' (Info icon) for more information about each
parameter.
Click Save at the top of the page when done. Be sure to reload your browser
when viewing your site so that you can see your new menu item.
Some other uses of this feature would be if you have a separate shopping cart or
ecommerce site which you can now integrate into your main web site, or other web
sites you own with content in them. You can also use this for creating pages with
customized web forms for feedback, etc. and display them in this wrapper.
