Setting Up CoffeeCup Free FTP 3.0
From the File menu, choose Servers.
Click on the Add button.
Type in the name of your site. This can by anything you wish to call it, so that
you can remember it easier. Click the Next button.
Fill in your username, which should be your actual domain name, and your ftp
password. If you want to be sure to save your password so you don't have to type
it in each time you connect, be sure to click in the box next to
Save Password. Click the Next button.
Type in your host name, which would be something like ftp.yourdomain.com
where yourdomain.com should be replaced with your actual domain name. You
do not have to fill in the box for Default folder on host. Click the
Next button.
Most users will click the top button in response to the next question. Then
click the Finish button after that.
Now you will see your entire setup. Be sure to click in the checked box next to
Passive Mode to uncheck it. If you have problems uploading or
connecting to your FTP server, you can always go back and check it again. Now you
can click the Connect button to log into your FTP server.
Transferring Files in CoffeeCup Free FTP
Click on a file (or hold the CTRL key and click on a number of files) you wish
to upload. Then click on the Upload button at the top. The files will
be transferred to your web space.
Using Other FTP Commands:
Changing Folders: If you wish to transfer files to another folder in your
web space, double-click on the folder in the web space window.
Deleting Files: Select the files you wish to delete and click on the
bin icon at the top of the tabbed web space window.
Renaming Files: To rename a file, right click on the file and select
Rename or press the F2 key.
Creating A New Folder: Click on the new folder icon at the top of the
web space window. Then type in the folder name and press OK.
To Change File Permissions or use CHMOD: Select the files you wish to
change the file properties of, then click on the properties icon at the top of
the web space window.
To Disconnect From Server:
Click the Disconnect icon in the tool bar at the top.
