How To Use WebMail To Get Your E-Mail From Your Browser

In addition to your POP E-Mail account you can access through your E-Mail program, Active Web Hosting provides each domain with web mail service so that you can conveniently check your E-Mail via a web browser no matter where you are. In addition, you can make changes to your E-Mail Account through web mail as well. You can access your web mail by pointing your browser to http://mail.yourdomain.com where yourdomain.com represents your actual domain name. Enter your full E-Mail address as the username (ie. YourName@YourDomain.com), and your password for that E-Mail account to log in.

Retrieving E-Mail

When you log in you will see a list of E-Mail messages in your inbox if you have any messages. Notice a bar at the top with more commands. You can also click on Check Inbox to see if you have any new E-Mail messages. Click on any E-Mail message in the From column to read the E-Mail. Note that once you read your E-Mail, you can not retrieve it using a POP E-Mail client (such as Eudora, Outlook, or Outlook Express, etc.)

Replying to E-Mail

Click on the Reply link at the top of the page when reading your E-Mail to reply to it.

Deleting E-Mail Messages

Click on the check box next to the E-Mail message(s) you wish to delete. Choose Deleted Items from the drop down box next to Move Items to Folder. Click on the Go button next to the drop down box. Your E-Mail will then be put in the Deleted Items folder. If you wish to permanently delete an E-Mail message, click the Delete Selected link at the top of the page. Note that once you permanently delete a message in this way, it can not be retrieved.

If you want to empty your Deleted Items, click on the folder, then click on the check box above the other check boxes on the left. This one is inside the black bar. This selects all messages. Click the Delete Selected link on the top to empty the mailbox.

Sending a New E-Mail

You can use the Compose link at the top of the page to create a new E-Mail message. Just fill in the recipient's E-Mail address and your message. If you are sending to more than one person, separate each E-Mail address with a comma. You can also send attachments by clicking the Attachments link at the top of the page.

Creating New Folders

If you wish to add additional folders, click on the Folders link at the top. Click on the Add button and type in the name of the folder. Click Ok to create. You can create sub-folders by selecing a parent folder from the drop down box. The folder will then appear in the parent folder.

Logging Out

When done, use the Log Out link at the top right of the page.
