How To Use WebMail To Get Your E-Mail From Your Browser
In addition to your POP E-Mail account you can access through your E-Mail program,
Active Web Hosting provides each domain with web mail service so that you can
conveniently check your E-Mail via a web browser no matter where you are. In
addition, you can make changes to your E-Mail
Account through web mail as well. You can access your web mail by pointing
your browser to
http://mail.yourdomain.com where yourdomain.com represents your
actual domain name. Enter your full E-Mail address as the username
(ie. YourName@YourDomain.com), and your password for that E-Mail account to log
in.
Retrieving E-Mail
When you log in you will see a list of E-Mail messages in your inbox if you have
any messages. Notice a bar at the top with more commands. You can also click on
Check Inbox to see if you have any new E-Mail messages. Click on any E-Mail
message in the From column to read the E-Mail. Note that once you read
your E-Mail, you can not retrieve it using a POP E-Mail client (such as Eudora,
Outlook, or Outlook Express, etc.)
Replying to E-Mail
Click on the Reply link at the top of the page when reading your E-Mail
to reply to it.
Deleting E-Mail Messages
Click on the check box next to the E-Mail message(s) you wish to delete.
Choose Deleted Items from the drop down box next to Move Items to Folder.
Click on the Go button next to the drop down box. Your E-Mail will then
be put in the Deleted Items folder. If you wish to permanently delete an
E-Mail message, click the Delete Selected link at the top of the page.
Note that once you permanently delete a message in this way, it can not be
retrieved.
If you want to empty your Deleted Items, click on the folder, then click on the
check box above the other check boxes on the left. This one is inside the black
bar. This selects all messages. Click the Delete Selected link on the top
to empty the mailbox.
Sending a New E-Mail
You can use the Compose link at the top of the page to create a new E-Mail
message. Just fill in the recipient's E-Mail address and your message. If you are
sending to more than one person, separate each E-Mail address with a comma. You
can also send attachments by clicking the Attachments link at the top of
the page.
Creating New Folders
If you wish to add additional folders, click on the Folders link at the
top. Click on the Add button and type in the name of the folder. Click
Ok to create. You can create sub-folders by selecing a parent folder
from the drop down box. The folder will then appear in the parent folder.
Logging Out
When done, use the Log Out link at the top right of the page.
