Changing Your Postmaster or 'Catch All' Account Forwarding Address
The Postmaster account can be used as a catch all address where you can
collect all the other E-Mail that is sent to an E-Mail address that does not exist
on your domain, and it can also collect spam messages. You can also have these
E-Mail messages forwarded to a different E-Mail address.
NOTE: Please remember to use the domain name of the E-Mail account you
are changing in place of yourdomain.com in the steps below.
First, obtain your postmaster account password if you haven't already done so. You can get this information from the Account Administration System. Log in using your domain name and domain password. Scroll down and click on the domain that has the postmaster account you wish to change, then look for the postmaster account password in the E-Mail Accounts section. Keep this password handy as you'll need it for the next step.
Visit your Web Mail Interface at http://mail.yourdomain.com
For the username, type in your complete postmaster E-Mail address, not
just the username (for example, postmaster@yourdomain.com
).
Type in the password for that postmaster account. You do not need to change any
other options at this point. Click on the Login button.
Click on Options at the top of the page.
Click on Mailbox Redirection in the second bar at the top of the page.
Click on the check box next to Redirection and type in the e-mail address
you wish to forward your messages to.
To stop forwarding, select and delete the E-Mail address and uncheck the
Redirection box if you wish to stop forwarding. Any incoming messages
will then stay in your postmaster mailbox.
If you still want messages to also stay in your postmaster mailbox after it is
forwarded to your other E-Mail account, click on the box next to Keep a copy in mailbox.
If left unchecked, mail sent to this postmaster account will be deleted after
it is forwarded to your other E-Mail address.
If you do not specify an address to forward E-Mail to, then this option is ignored
and all messages will stay in this postmaster account's inbox.
Click the Update button when done.
The page will reappear. You should also see a message in bold above of the Redirection box confirming that your settings have been updated. You can now log out using the button in the top toolbar.
